ARTS EXPO

(Here is what was send to arts organizations for this year's conference. Although the deadline has passed as has the event, we are leaving the basic information here for your review).

Your organization is invited to share your non-profit organization’s arts programs at the ARTS EXPO segment of the 2011 Marion Cilker Conference for Arts in Education on Saturday, November 19th at the Santa Clara County Office of Education.

We anticipate 150 – 200 pre-school, K-6TH grade classroom teachers, arts specialists and parents at the conference.  This is the perfect opportunity to have a captive audience to share information about your programs; everything from student performances to assemblies to professional development for teachers.  While this conference is targeted to educators and parents in Santa Clara County, attendees will also be from out of the area.

The ARTS EXPO will be held from 10 – 11:15 am.  This event will be held during a 75-minute break between morning and early afternoon workshops for conference attendees.  Set-up will take place from approximately 9 to 10 am.

We encourage you to have 1 – 3 organization representatives present to share information about your organization and to answer questions.  This event is FREE for arts organizations but we do ask for a donation for our conference raffle – suggestions include admittance to a professional development event, tickets to a performance, etc.  This will help us off-set conference costs.

The Santa Clara County Office of Education will provide a table 3’ x 5’ for your group.  Let us know if you need power for a slideshow or looping video.  For planning purposes, let us know by Friday, September 23rd  if you are interested in having your arts organization participate.  If we have an overwhelming response, we can adjust the logistics accordingly including the length of time for the expo and the space needed.
