| The County Arts Network is a partnership of school district leaders who support arts education and work collaboratively to improve the quality of arts instruction countywide. Quarterly meetings held at different schools will highlight successful arts programs. The outcomes of the network include:
- Build capacity with district leaders to build and sustain arts programs in good and bad times
- Reinforce the value of the arts and how the arts can support learning in general, including strategies that can close the achievement gap
- Improve communication about arts professional development, resources and programs countywide
- Provide opportunities to network with other administrators with replicable arts programs
- Support the Artspiration initiative by adding a leadership voice

Our Secondary Teacher Network met on January 31st, 2011 and created two fabulous resources:
a. arts-focused interview questions for interview panels - prospective directors, principals, assistant principals, etc
b. suggestions for what to look for in an arts-focused teacher observation using VAPA instructional standards
