Hector Armienta’s adaptation of the tale, told by a pair of mischievous rabbits, begins with a young coyote named Scrawny who is learning how to read. When his cousin Loco discovers what Scrawny is up to (no decent coyote would ever learn such a thing!), he makes it his mission to set Scrawny on the “right path.” The series of misadventures that follows, all thanks to Loco and his ignorance, only serves to show Scrawny how valuable education truly is.
